Numerous galleries, museums, studios and design institutions are looking forward to welcoming design enthusiasts for satellite exhibitons and events all over Berlin. Besides exhibitions and presentations of local, national as well as international designers, visitors can gain insights into the creative processes designers adopt through open studios.

The exhibition has been curated by Hélène Binet herself, who is among the world’s leading architectural photographers, and it displays photographs of buildings by the architects John Hejduk, Le Corbusier, Peter Zumthor and Zaha Hadid as key moments from 25 years of work as an artist. Within the exhibition – in order to emphasise distinctive aspects of the architecture in question – Binet establishes a relationship between it and another building or landscape.

These encompass the entire spectrum of the avant-garde school: architecture, furniture, ceramics, metals, the stage, painting and graphic arts.
